About
Carolyn Kingfisher is a bespoke furniture maker based in Edinburgh, Scotland. She recently graduated from the 2025-2026 Professional Course at the Chippendale International School of Furniture in East Lothian.
Carolyn hails from Washington, D.C. and had a 15-year career at the U.S. Department of Justice prior to training in fine furniture.
Inspiration
Carolyn's work draws inspiration from the Arts & Crafts movement of the early 20th century, emphasizing the value of hand-made objects crafted from local and natural materials. She seeks to reflect this philosophy in each project while incorporating modern techniques to create beautiful and practical pieces for everyday use.
